Massage appointment times vary depending on the type of massage you require.
You can make appointments directly with the clinic but if you are being referred for physiotherapy by your GP or Consultant a referral letter would be appreciated. You can bring the letter with you or it can be sent directly to the clinic. However this is not strictly necessary you can refer yourself.
If you are covered by private health care and want to claim on your insurance you should contact your insurance company and ask to be referred. You will then be given a valid authorisation code for treatment. A referral from your GP or Consultant may also be required; please check with your insurance company.
Please wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing or bring a pair of shorts. You are welcome to bring someone along to accompany you if you wish. You may be asked to remove clothing so that a thorough examination can be made of the problem area.
All patients under 16 years old must be accompanied by a parent.
Payments for all treatments are to be made at the time of treatment by either cheque or cash. Invoices will be issued by prior agreement.
Private Medical Insurance organisations – An authorisation code will be needed along with your membership number. Depending on your policy it may state a maximum number of treatment sessions or a maximum payment per session, which means there may be an excess payment to make which you can make when you come to the clinic.
Please check when booking an appointment that I can deal with your insurance company. If I can’t then you must pay my fees and reclaim them from your insurer.
PHYSIOTHERAPY – The initial assessment may take up to 30 minutes. Following assessment, a diagnosis and treatment plan will be offered.
